Daneidy Barrera, conocida como Epa Colombia, fue trasladada en la mañana de este jueves 30 de enero a la cárcel de mujeres El Buen Pastor en Bogotá, tras haber sido condenada a más de cinco años de prisión por su participación en actos de vandalismo durante el paro nacional de 2019.
El Instituto Nacional Penitenciario y Carcelario (Inpec) confirmó la reclusión de la influenciadora y señaló que evalúa medidas de seguridad especiales para garantizar su integridad dentro del centro penitenciario.
La condena, ratificada por la Corte Suprema de Justicia, confirma la sentencia del Tribunal Superior de Bogotá, que encontró a Barrera culpable de los delitos de daño en bien ajeno, perturbación del servicio público e instigación a delinquir con fines terroristas.

Tras el fallo, el abogado de la influenciadora anunció que solicitará una reunión con el presidente Gustavo Petro para proponer que su clienta sea nombrada gestora de paz. Según el defensor, Barrera ha sido reconocida internacionalmente por su labor social, por lo que confía en que el Gobierno considere su caso dentro de las estrategias de reconciliación.
Hasta el momento, la Casa de Nariño no ha emitido pronunciamiento sobre esta solicitud. Mientras tanto, la influenciadora deberá cumplir su condena en El Buen Pastor, a la espera de nuevas decisiones judiciales o políticas que puedan modificar su situación.
