Durante la entrega de 80 “Casas del Sol del Pueblo” a cabildos indígenas wayú, el presidente Gustavo Petro anunció un cambio significativo en la nomenclatura de los proyectos energéticos y de conectividad del Gobierno Nacional, destacando la importancia de usar un lenguaje claro y accesible para las comunidades.
“Comunicarnos con el pueblo es fundamental. Ahora llamaremos a las comunidades energéticas ‘Casas del Sol’ del pueblo, y a las comunidades de conectividad ‘Juntas de Internet’. Esto busca acercar nuestras iniciativas a la gente, haciéndolas comprensibles y accesibles para todos”, afirmó el mandatario.
El evento, marcado por música vallenata y simbolismo cultural, se llevó a cabo en un espacio que evocaba una maloka, resaltando la conexión con las raíces indígenas.
Avances en la transición energética
El presidente Petro destacó que las 80 Casas del Sol entregadas son parte de un proyecto mayor que busca beneficiar a casi 1.500 familias wayú, con 64 casas adicionales proyectadas antes de fin de año. Estas infraestructuras representan un modelo de generación y gestión sostenible de energía solar, adaptado a las necesidades de las comunidades más vulnerables del país.
Enfatizando la importancia de una economía descarbonizada, el presidente señaló que estas iniciativas son un ejemplo del potencial de Colombia para transitar hacia energías limpias. “Aquí comienza una nueva economía basada en el sol, en la vida, y no en el carbón, que representa la muerte. Es un paso hacia la sostenibilidad y el bienestar de todos”, manifestó.
Capacitación y sostenibilidad
Petro también subrayó la necesidad de asegurar el mantenimiento y expansión del proyecto, proponiendo la creación de cooperativas de jóvenes wayú capacitados en tecnología solar a través del Sena. Estas cooperativas no solo garantizarían el funcionamiento de las Casas del Sol, sino que también podrían ofrecer servicios a empresas y otras comunidades.
Impacto y proyección nacional
El Ministerio de Minas y Energía informó que, a nivel nacional, se han implementado más de 222 Casas del Sol en el último año y se encuentran en construcción otras 870. Se espera que en los próximos dos años el número supere las 1.000, llevando energía sostenible a 21 departamentos del país.
En La Guajira, este programa tiene un impacto significativo con 361 Casas del Sol focalizadas, de las cuales 127 ya están priorizadas y 173 en proceso de implementación. Este departamento representa casi el 20% del total de proyectos en desarrollo.
Con estas iniciativas, el Gobierno Nacional no solo garantiza acceso a la energía en zonas apartadas, sino que también promueve justicia social, educación y oportunidades para las comunidades más vulnerables del país.
