Con el inicio del calendario escolar 2025, la Alcaldía de Medellín reafirma su compromiso con la educación de calidad y el bienestar de sus estudiantes. Este lunes, más de 290.000 alumnos de las instituciones oficiales del Distrito regresaron a clases, encontrándose con un sistema educativo renovado y preparado para atender sus necesidades.
Desde el primer día, las instituciones cuentan con un equipo ampliado de 280 psicólogos y más de 300 docentes especializados en inclusión. Además, el Programa de Alimentación Escolar beneficiará a 232.000 niños, niñas y adolescentes, asegurando una nutrición adecuada que favorezca su aprendizaje. Complementariamente, se han dispuesto 11.000 cupos de transporte escolar y actividades educativas complementarias para 17.500 estudiantes.
Escuela Entorno Protector y Modelos Flexibles: pilares para 2025
El programa Escuela Entorno Protector se implementará en todas las instituciones educativas, diseñando planes específicos adaptados a las características y necesidades de cada colegio. Este enfoque busca garantizar que las instituciones sean espacios seguros y estimulantes para el desarrollo integral de los estudiantes.
Por otro lado, la estrategia de Modelos Flexibles beneficiará a 10.000 niñas, niños y adolescentes, facilitando su reincorporación al sistema educativo. Este programa está diseñado especialmente para aquellos que han estado fuera del sistema escolar, brindándoles nuevas oportunidades de aprendizaje.
Condiciones adecuadas para el aprendizaje
Para asegurar un entorno propicio, las instituciones educativas contarán con servicios garantizados de aseo, vigilancia y conectividad. Además, se llevarán a cabo mejoras en infraestructura y equipamiento escolar, garantizando espacios cómodos y seguros para todos.
El secretario de Educación, Luis Guillermo Patiño Aristizábal, destacó: “Estamos muy contentos de darles la bienvenida junto a 12.000 maestros y directivos docentes. Invitamos a todos los niños y jóvenes de Medellín a que asistan a sus colegios, donde podrán materializar todos sus sueños. Su colegio es su entorno protector por excelencia”.

Fechas clave del calendario escolar 2025
La comunidad educativa debe tener en cuenta las fechas destacadas del año escolar:
- Semana Santa: del 14 al 20 de abril.
- Receso de mitad de año: del 15 de junio al 7 de julio.
- Receso de octubre: del 6 al 12 de octubre.
- Finalización del calendario escolar: 30 de noviembre.

En el Colegio Contamos con Vos: buscando estudiantes fuera del sistema
La Administración Distrital seguirá adelante con su programa “En el Colegio Contamos con Vos”, realizando recorridos en las comunas y corregimientos para localizar y reincorporar a los menores que aún están por fuera del sistema educativo.
Proceso de matrícula
