Ante el reciente anuncio del Ministerio de Minas y Energía sobre el racionamiento de gas natural, Gases del Caribe ha confirmado que esta medida no afectará a sus usuarios en los departamentos del Atlántico, Magdalena, Cesar y el norte de Bolívar. La empresa asegura que los hogares, comercios, industrias y estaciones de servicio de gas vehicular (GNV) seguirán recibiendo el servicio sin interrupciones.
Ramón Dávila Martínez, gerente general de Gases del Caribe, reiteró el compromiso de la compañía de ofrecer un suministro continuo a través de una diversificación en sus fuentes de abastecimiento. “Esta contingencia refuerza la importancia del gas natural en la canasta energética del país y subraya la necesidad de explorar nuevas fuentes para asegurar su disponibilidad a largo plazo como respaldo en la transición energética”, afirmó Dávila.
Gases del Caribe atiende a más de 1.2 millones de usuarios, incluyendo 18,000 comercios y 1,000 industrias, además de más de 19,000 vehículos que utilizan gas natural, muchos de los cuales son parte del transporte público. La empresa ha reafirmado su capacidad para cubrir la demanda, garantizando así el servicio en su área de influencia.
