La Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económico (OCDE), reconoció la gestión fiscal de Colombia por su compromiso en la lucha contra la evasión y el fortalecimiento de la transparencia financiera.
Por ello, esa organización internacional concedió a nuestro país, a través de la Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales (DIAN), la calificación de Largely Compliant en la segunda ronda de Revisión por Pares del Intercambio de Información Previa Petición (EOIR) del Foro Global sobre Transparencia e Intercambio de Información para Fines Fiscales.
El reconocimiento fue otorgado a Colombia durante la 48ª reunión del Peer Review Group en París.
La evaluación se enfocó en dos aspectos: la disponibilidad y el acceso a la información sobre beneficiarios finales y la eficacia del intercambio de información internacional. Ambos indicadores son esenciales para detectar y prevenir actividades ilícitas como la evasión fiscal y el lavado de activos, asegurando así un sistema financiero más confiable y transparente.
La DIAN informó que la calificación de Largely Compliant a Colombia fue socializada en dos encuentros internacionales: la decimoprimera reunión de la Declaración de Punta del Este y en la decimoséptima Reunión Plenaria del Foro Global sobre Transparencia e Intercambio de Información Fiscal de la OCDE.
En los dos escenarios se reafirmó el compromiso de Colombia con los estándares globales de transparencia fiscal y cooperación internacional.
En ese sentido, Colombia ratificó su compromiso al depositar la declaración del Acuerdo Multilateral para el Intercambio Automático de Información sobre Criptoactivos (CARF, por sus siglas en inglés) que refuerza la lucha global contra la evasión y la elusión fiscal, y consolida al país como referente en la implementación de estándares internacionales en transparencia fiscal.
Este resultado es el reflejo del esfuerzo colectivo de la DIAN con otras entidades que han sido clave para seguir trabajando con dedicación en el fortalecimiento de la confianza ciudadana que permita alcanzar los estándares globales en materia tributaria y fiscal.
El trabajo de la DIAN se ha articulado con otras entidades como las Superintendencias de Sociedades, Financiera y de la Economía Solidaria; Confecámaras, el Departamento Nacional de Planeación, el Consejo Técnico de la Contaduría Pública, la Unidad de Información y Análisis Financiero y el Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo.
