Con la decisión, el actor intenta cubrirse las espaldas ante una posible ola de demandas por parte de sus ex parejas, luego de su confesión el martes en el programa Today, de NBC.
Según reseña Infobae, muchas antiguas novias del actor ya lo están denunciando, ya que alegan que éste no les advirtió sobre su condición antes de los actos sexuales. Esto contradice las declaraciones del propio Sheen, quien ha afirmado que siempre fue honesto con sus parejas y que siempre usó protección.
